Yes. The Remote is a free Android phone remote that keeps all your Android TV and Google TV sets in one list, each with a name and a room, like Living Room TV and Bedroom TV. Pick the TV before you search YouTube or share a link, and it opens on the screen you meant.
Name each TV and give it a room
When you pair a TV, name it and pick its room. Your saved TVs sit in one list, each with its room, so "Bedroom" is never confused with "Living Room TV".
The name lives in the app. You don't need to rename the TV in its own settings.
Each TV pairs with its own code
Pair each TV separately. Pick it in The Remote and type the code that TV shows. Then it's saved in your list.
The Your TVs widget shows each TV with its room
The Remote's Your TVs home-screen widget lists your saved TVs with their rooms, for example Living Room TV, Living room and Bedroom TV, Bedroom.
Pick the TV before you send a search or link
A YouTube search typed on your phone opens its results on the TV you picked. A YouTube link you share to The Remote plays on the TV you picked. Check the selected TV first, especially if someone else is watching in the other room.
Every TV needs to be on your home Wi-Fi
Your phone talks to each TV over your home network. A TV on a guest network, or one that still remembers an old Wi-Fi, won't show up until it's on the same network as your phone. If a TV goes missing, the can't-find-your-TV guide helps.
Which TVs work
Android TV and Google TV devices with Android TV Remote Service v2, including Google TV devices that support the Android TV Remote Service, such as Chromecast with Google TV and Google TV Streamer. Available controls vary by model and firmware. Not sure what yours runs? See how to tell if your TV is Android TV or Google TV.
The Remote is free for Android phones (Android 8.0 or later; no iPhone version), with no ads and no account.
